David is a Materials Engineer with data analytics and software lifecycle product experience in Python, facilitating cross-functional communications to solve engineering problems and drive innovation.David has over five years of professional experience with nuclear and oil and gas companies and four years of research experience in carbon nanotechnology. David currently works as a Senior Materials Engineer for TerraPower. His primary responsibility includes maintenance of material properties via a proprietary C++ and Python-based database, including software lifecycle documentation, project management, and data qualification.During his time as an ASPIRE Engineer at Baker Hughes, David completed rotations as an Analytical Engineer in the Smart Services group, a Materials Engineer in Subsea Systems, and a Metallurgical Engineer in Completions & Wellbore Intervention. By taking diverse rotations through different product lines and roles, David pursued a way to combine his interest in data science and data analytics with a passion for materials science and general engineering problem-solving.David graduated from Rice University with a degree in Materials Science and Nanoengineering with a minor in Business.
