I joined Gleeds in 2022 as a Director in the Infrastructure team to lead Cost Verification and Assurance activities in the UK and globally. Amidst a myriad of other exciting and iconic projects, I have a lead role in the cost verification and assurance activities currently being undertaken by Gleeds and its alliance partners at High Speed 2 (HS2), the UK and Europe’s largest infrastructure project. I also have a lead role in the development of the Gleeds Canada practice where I am providing technical accounting and assurance support on a number of fascinating infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Gleeds, I set up and led the cost verification and assurance function for almost 7 years at Tideway (otherwise known as the Thames Tideway Tunnel), the largest ever infrastructure investment in the UK’s water network.I am an experienced Chartered Accountant, with expertise in leading forensic accounting, fraud/financial/regulatory investigations and internal/external audit around the world. I have been appointed as an expert accounting witness on a number of occasions and have given evidence in the UK High Court and at International Arbitration on complex accounting matters.Prior to specialising in assurance activities on significant infrastructure projects, I worked in the forensic services departments at international accounting firms on a wide range of commercial disputes and fraud and financial investigations (which included a secondment to the Serious Fraud Office).
