I hold a Masters degree in Public Policy from Harvard University and have extensive experience at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and Commonwealth Treasury. These have enabled me to engage on challenging policy issues at the highest level.I firmly believe that sound economic policy can make a real difference in people’s lives. To this end, I have worked in a range of complex policy areas, including monetary and fiscal policy, labour markets, housing markets, and trade and investment.Achievements that I am most proud of include:• playing a leadership role in the once-in-a-generation review of the RBA• advising the government on its fiscal stance and strategy as the economy emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic• developing a core model at the RBA for forecasting the unemployment rate• leading the production of the RBA's forecasts for business investment, trade and commodity prices during the pandemic• representing Australia on the international stage as the RBA's representative to the G20 International Financial Architecture Working Group• publishing peer-reviewed research in the Australian Economic Review and RBA's discussion paper series.
