My name is David Poiner, I hold a bachelors degree in Information Technology and have been working in IT for 5 years during which I have held positions in IT support (including customer facing, user and executive support), worked as an analyst, managed and support multiple projects and currently hold a position as a Major Incident Manager at the Bank of Queensland. In my current role I respond to critical incidents raised by many different departments relating to everything from cybersecurity to infrastructure and project delivery When engaged, I manage workflows, track actions and coordinate resolution during time sensitive incidents that must be resolved to avoid breaching SLA or regulatory compliance. It is also my role to communicate the technical details of the incident in regular, easily digestible summaries for the business and assist in the post incident reviews and reporting. I really enjoy new challenges and my spare time I manage google SEO and ads campaigns for friends and family, as well as tinker away on personal projects including app development using React Native.
