I am a patent and trade mark attorney and a member of the Engineering team, focussing on local and foreign patent and design drafting and prosecution, assisting engineers, inventors and innovators across a range of disciplines to obtain patent and design protection for their new inventions, as well as trade mark protection for their brands.I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from the University of Adelaide, where I graduated with first class honours and undertook elective courses in computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, sustainable thermal technology, composites & multiphase polymers, and corrosion principles & prevention. I was a member of an honours team responsible for the successful design and build of an experimental gas turbine combustor implementing MILD (Moderate or Intense Low-oxygen Dilution) combustion, and have also participated in a research program, assisting in the design of an experimental welding rig for use in the investigation of failure modes of manual metal arc welded steel pipeline.I am a passionate about motorsports and have a keen interest in automotive engineering and mechanical design. I represented the University of Adelaide on two occasions at the annual Formula SAE Australasia competition, being part of a team responsible for the design and build of formula style open wheel racing cars.I am enthusiastic about meeting with local innovators, learning about their inventions, giving appropriate tailored advice, and helping them turn their great ideas in to enforceable intellectual property rights.
