About Dave Hamm

I am the son of a Minnesota wheat farmer and an Indiana corn farmer. Growing is in my DNA and I have always been an avid (and successful) gardener. I started as an organic vegetable soil grower, got frustrated when fall came with our inability to get good fresh vegetables, not to mention the costs.That is when I started to explore hydroponics. Always with a focus on purity and good food, I quickly discovered that most hydroponic nutrients were focused on the cash market of cannabis, not on vegetables. At the same time recognizing the other nutrients companies were taking a general approach to growing, clearly not addressing the specific needs of each vegetable.This is when I started my next quest, to learn how to produce my own nutrients. I befriended a botanist with a degree in chemistry and have been focusing on production for Strawberries, Tomatoes, Peppers, and Lettuce Greens. Hence the start-up of Farmer Dave’s Nutrients, LLC.
