My role was to design, develop and deploy software drivers to control living room devices such as PlayStations and set top boxes. One major achievement was that I took ownership of and delivered a project which empowered other engineers to retrieve logs from PlayStation consoles programmatically. This initiative resulted in significant improvements to application troubleshooting times, transforming a process which before took days to mere minutes.

During my tenure I took ownership of the service’s physical network and drove a project to redesign it. As a Data Centre Operator for AWS, I was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Amazon's data centres in Europe. This included the establishment of new clusters across the European region. During my tenure, I played a role in deploying three new European clusters for AWS. Additionally, I assumed ownership of the staff/guest Wi-Fi infrastructure for the UK data centres. I also imparted my knowledge to train other operators across Europe in similar capacities. A significant milestone during my time in this role was the development and ownership of a software tool designed to manage large-scale events (LSEs). This tool, conceived during my "Learn and Be Curious" time, underwent refinement in collaboration with engineering teams across Europe over an 18-month period. The LSE tool established a comprehensive framework of questions to guide responses during events and included reminders for engineers, ensuring crucial updates during bridge calls. Upon presentation to the VP of AWS Infrastructure, the tool was seamlessly integrated into the AWS tooling team's portfolio, marking a noteworthy achievement in optimising operational efficiency.
