Mines d’Or de Salsigne operated both an underground and an open pit gold mine near Carcassonne in the south of France. I was contracted to produce a solid model of the underground mineralisation and to produce an estimate of the remaining resources using SURPAC.

Reunion Mining PLC was a London-based company formed to explore and develop African mineral resources. It operated the Sanyati heap leach copper mine in Zimbabwe and numerous exploration projects including the Chirano Gold project in Ghana.Exploration Manager – Chirano Gold ProjectResponsible for all the exploration activities on the Chirano Gold project tenements in the Bibiani district of Ghana. This involved detailed drilling and trenching on known deposits and the discovery of new deposits. Directed a team of 130 local staff, labourers and expats.

Coolgardie Gold NL operated both underground and open cut mines with a CIP gold plant in an area first mined over 100 years ago. Initially working on regional gold and base metal exploration projects. After one year promoted to Senior Exploration Geologist in charge of exploration on the company’s 200ha mine site. Programs varied from deep (1000m) directional diamond drilling to intersect ore shoots beneath existing mine workings, to high resolution ground magnetic surveys which led to the discovery of two new gold resources hidden beneath alluvial cover.
