Product Manager
I was hired by GivePanel to establish delivery processes that enabled us to discover, prioritise, develop, release and monitor new product features. In this short time, I have worked as part of a product team to introduce user research, UX prototyping, data driven metrics (using a combination of Posthog, SQL and querying Mongo) and better cross functional collaboration between engineer, customer, marketing and product teams.
Product Manager
After successfully setting up the incuto onboarding team, I was asked to take on the role of product manager and help improve the delivery of software at incuto. While in this role I was responsible for:- Building strategic partner relationships with other Fintech providers to help provide customers with the 'best in class' financial services.- Combining knowledge of the financial market, competitors and customers needs to develop strategic roadmaps- Conducting customer workshops and interviews to form our customer research- Building out UX wireframes to prototype use cases, stories and process flows for software solutions- Working with developers to ensure software solutions are built and implemented correctly- Using SQL to help make better data driven decisions- Presenting prototypes to key stakeholders and collecting feedback- Adopting JIRA to help implement some Agile scrum practices
Onboarding Manager
I was the first Onboarding Manager at incuto and, therefore, my first priority was setting up the processes required to take a customer from sales to live, ensuring incuto's software was being suitable adopted before moving them into BAU. In this role I had the following responsibilities:- Managing an onboarding team, ensuring we were working on revenue generating activities and tracking the ROI- Writing feasibility studies and proposals for client migration projects- Writing project plans and cost matrices for implementation projects- Providing both onsite and remote training- Supporting pre-sales activities- Setting up Customers on the incuto platform and supporting them through go live- Creating a clear end to onboarding and moving customers into BAU support
Account Manager
I joined incuto as an account manager because I wanted to gain experience managing customers and help them recognise the benefits provided by incuto's SAAS software. The first thing I did as account manager is setup monthly catchup calls with each customer to help build relationships and talk through where incuto could better support their business needs. I used my in depth knowledge of SQL to integrate each customer's data and help them make data driven decisions and see the value incuto's software was and could provide their business. These regular calls helped incuto recognise a gap in the organisation, which was the lack of an onboarding team. Customers were suffering from a lack of an onboarding process.
Product Owner
In addition to being a business consultant, I also fulfilled the role of product owner for Sandstone's Open Banking software. This software enables financial institutions to provide Open Banking compliant APIs to 3rd party organisations. As the product manager, I fulfilled the following roles and responsibilities:- Developing a strategic roadmap- Managing an agile lead development team- Producing UX designs to help translate customer needs into suitable software solutions- Creating new business relationships with governing organisations, or those working with governments, including the FCA, Open Banking and Pay.UK- Creating strategic partnership to deliver an End-2-End Open Banking solution- Working on Pre-sales engagement- Liaising with customers to ensure products are fit for purpose
Business Consultant (Psd2 And Open Banking Sme)
During my time as Business Analyst, I got heavily involved with PSD2 and Open Banking regulation and was eventually promoted to Business Consultant. As a consultant I was used to educate customers on how these regulations would impact them and how Sandstone's software would meet their needs. I also managed customer workshops to gather requirements, collect feedback and plan projects. My time as Consultant and Product Owner at Sandstone was split. At one point, I was placed on site full time to support a customer's PSD2 business transformation project. As a result of my time on site, our customer was able to comply implement compliant software before the regulatory deadline. A feet only achieved by a handful of financial organisations at the time.My roles and responsibilities as Business Consultant include:- Interpreting and translating PSD2 regulation into software and business requirements- Identifying suitable partners for ID verification and fraud detection- Writing functional specifications- Consulting with both prospective and existing customers on PSD2 regulation and how Sandstone can help them - Presenting to clients- Working with cross functional customer teams to ensure Sandstone software was installed, tested and adopted correctly.
Business Analyst
I joined Sandstone Technology as a Business Analyst so that I could gain fintech experience and also develop my Business Analyst skills. As Business Analyst, I worked on translating GDPR regulation into software requirements for Sandstone's software products, and later on did the same for Open Banking and PSD2 regulation. The roles and responsibilities I fulfilled as a Business Analyst include:- Translating regulation into customer requirements- Walking customers through requirements and explaining why they were required for regulation purposes- Gathering requirements- Writing requirement documents- UX prototyping- Supporting client UAT and Go Live stages
Consultant
After a brief secondment into Mood International's Delivery team, I was made an associate full time and promptly promoted to Consultant after a year in the post. During my time in this role, I worked on a wide variety of client projects both solo and within a team. Projects that involved travelling from Bristol to San Francisco via Poland.
