Responsible for capabilities assessments, requirement development, procurement actions, and fielding support for a range of products to satisfy a Joint Urgent Operational Needs Statement for ECP solutions. Established and led an integrated product team of technical experts, prepared, oversaw and evaluated integrated plans, programs and time phased schedules. Provided guidance and counsel to PM on acquisition strategy and operational employment of selected technologies. Directed, coordinated, and monitored the overall engineering efforts of individual subject matter experts. Quick Reaction Task Force Leader. Worked directly with operational commanders, Field Assistance in Science and Technology (FAST) Teams, Combat Training Centers, Combat Developers and Program Managers to coordinate, integrate, lead and control rapid solutions to urgent operational needs. Exercised independent judgment and applied managerial skills as integration manager and Warfighter advocate during rapid acquisition activities from request through prototype demonstration and transition to a program office.

Provided effective management, direction and control over Government and contractor personnel involved in the production and fielding of small caliber ammunition. Responsible for the cost, performance and schedule of a $6 million Joint Services Wound Ballistics Integrated Product Team engineering study on projectile lethality. Established priorities and schedules and tasked matrix support elements to accomplish a 2.5 million Small Caliber Effectiveness Assessment Program. Led meetings, coordinated activities and conducted program reviews for a $500,000 business case analysis in support of the Product Manager’s small caliber production strategy. Developed, prepared, and presented detailed program briefs for Green Ammunition Program to senior officials throughout DoD. Provided guidance and organizational priorities which shaped the master plans and program objectives of the Warfighter Ammunition Information Program. Achieved Defense Acquisition University certification Level III in Program Management, demonstrating a broad knowledge of project management and acquisition life cycle management including development, acquisition, testing, product improvements and fielding of equipment.

Responsible for capabilities assessment, concept development, and operational requirements of small arms weapon systems. Represented operational users on several Integrated Product Teams and technical working groups. Contributed detailed information for Program Objective Memorandum build, Warfighter Lens Analysis, and other acquisition life cycle management processes. Participated and represented the organization at high level meetings, conferences and program reviews. Coordinated with Project Manager Soldier Weapons, Product Manager Individual Weapons, Program Executive Office Soldier, USSOCOM and HQDA to assure requirements were met.

Commanded a 206-man headquarters company of an air assault infantry battalion prepared to deploy within 36 hours in support of US Army contingencies worldwide. Primary logistics executor developing policies and processes necessary to achieve the goals of the battalion providing combat support and combat service support to three rifle companies and one anti-armor company. Responsible for the training and combat readiness of eleven distinct sections and platoons. Responsible for the health, morale, and welfare of every soldier in the command providing a positive, professional command climate and a decent, respectable quality of life. Primary hand receipt holder for over 7 million dollars worth of vehicles, weapons, and equipment.
