I discovered early in my career that I have an aptitude for solving technical problems and providing application support for my colleagues. Because of my ability to find solutions to technical questions, I was assigned collateral duties providing desk-side application support and employee training for department specific applications and off-the shelf products like Microsoft Office. I later returned to college (post bachelor's) and earned a degree in cybersecurity while working full-time and raising a family. I am now working in a full-time service desk technician role where I use my education, skills, and experience supporting employees from six retirement communities. I have experience developing and maintaining information technology infrastructure for a school photography company in the San Diego area. I created and maintained a network of computers including a raid array file server with automatic backup to the cloud. My duties include installing and updating software, maintaining and repairing computer hardware, and backing up the network server.I also founded the Inspired Mind Learning Center to help students learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics while working full-time for the Sheriff's Department. My experience running the learning center gave me additional skills in management, digital and print marketing, business process creation and solving the myriad of challenges that comes from starting a brand-new company. We served over 200 students and earned a contract with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organization of San Diego to provide STEM instruction to underserved students.
