Legal representation for businesses with collection claims or disputes against other businesses, and individuals with claims against insurance companies. I frequently charge on a contingency basis, i.e. I only get paid if the outcome is successful. The best time to call me is when you have exhausted your own negotation efforts or the other side has clearly said they will not pay or has made a series of broken promises about payment. I particularly enjoy cases where my client has written off the receivable or is about to write it off, and then I collect it back for them. (But don't let the receivable get too old, because witnesses' memories fade, or the other company may be headed to insolvency.) There have been many cases where I have recovered money for clients after other law firms have said the debt was uncollectable or that the legal expense to collect would make it not worthwhile to pursue. By hiring me on a contingency basis, my clients eliminate the risk of uncontrolled legal fees, or making a bad situation worse by spending legal fees in an unsuccessful effort to collect what was already owed. Typical clients include: - Businesses in contract disputes.- Contractors or subs in mechanics' lien cases.- Manufacturers representatives in commission cases. - Law firms in unpaid fees cases. - Retailers in returns cases against distributors or manufacturers.- Manufacturers in cases against distributors and retailers for failure to pay invoices.I am not a collection agency, i.e. I do not send collection letters or make collection phone calls. After you have done your best to collect directly from the other party, you turn the case over to me and I start a lawsuit. I also work with my wife, Pam Rochlin. Like me, she has been practicing law for more than 20 years. We have been partners in our law firm for the last 12 years. She exclusively represents people who have been injured in accidents, and I work on many of those type of cases as well.
