There is a creed from a famous old pamphlet written by Albert Gray, "The Common Denominator of Success", that I try to remember in every challenge or opportunity of business & life. It's a foundational one of those foundational truths that has been forgotten over time. He says, "The secret of success of every person that has ever been successful - lies in the fact that they formed the habit of doing things that those who fail don't like to do." We are all creatures of habit, and the habits we form are precursors to how successful we will be. So I try to continually ask myself, "what habits need to be established for us to get the desired goal", and "what habits need to be removed that could keep us from reaching our full potential." As the Albert Gray states, its usually the habits that others are unwilling to do that will ultimately lead us to success!
