Human resources and evaluation department:development, implementation and analysis of a survey on human resources management

Responsible for marketing and sales for the Sinai Mountains Bedouin Tourism Development Project by establishing contacts to travel agents and other stakeholders in tourism.

Department Economic Development & Good Governance:• Support to new project beginnings in the sectors commercial and tourism promotion;• Support to writing Technical Proposals for EU- and GTZ-projects;• Implementation of projects within the range promotion of economic development, trade enhancement, SME development and tourism with the regional focus on MEDA countries, Africa and Asia.

Department Tourism Watch:• Conception and implementation of the annual international travel trade fairs Internationale Tourismusbörse (ITB) (Berlin) and Reisepavillon (Hannover/ Stuttgart);• Collaboration in writing articles concerning tourism and development;• Lobbying and educational work in the fields of fair trade, sustainable tourism and Corporate Social Responsibility; • Lecturing about Community-Based Tourism and Ecotourism.

Sri Lanka

Support to the Programme Director of CIRO:• Research on Community-based tourism and ecotourism;• Preparation of project proposals;• Assisting the implementation of projects concerning the capacity building and enterprise development in areas affected by natural desaster and ethnic conflict;• Maintenance of internet presence.

Touristic department and Tourism Commission of the German Bundestag:• Analysis and reporting on current developments in tourism in the Federal Government and the Bundestag (especially regarding certification arrangements);• Preparation, participation and evaluation of meetings of the tourism commission of the German Bundestag; • Preparation of conferences;• Support to the preparations for the FIFA World-Championship in Germany 2006;• Drawing up protocols.

Business development and tourism:• Full conception of a tourist information for the City of Nagold;• Touristic valorisation of a castle ruin through signposting, trails and catering possibilities;• Trade fair preparation and accomplishment to present Nagold as business location.
