I have previously worked in the Industrial Chemical world for more than 20 years. I have recently retired from the industrial chemistry world to the healthcare industry. I have enjoyed my recent training and experiences in the biomedical equipment repair world and hope to acquire a permanent job in my local area of Sugarland, Richmond, Rosenberg, or Houston, Texas.I have completed my Biomedical Academic Program and earned my certification as a BMET with a 3.5 grade point average. I have also done an internship at Citizen"s Medical Center in Victoria, Texas for a period of over (6) months. I am currently working as a Biomedical Technician Volunteer at Medical Bridges to continue growing my experience as a biomedical tech.I have learned and become proficient in the use of the most commonly used biomedical test equipment such as : 1) Electrical Safety-Analyzer, 2) Sim-Cube-simulator, 3) Ox-Sim-simulator, 4) Defibrillator Discharge-Plates with Pulse Output-simulator and Ultrasound Watt-meter- calibration tester.I have gained competency in doing performance verifications, accuracy verifications, trouble-shooting and basic repairs on the following medical devices as an entry-level biomed : 1) Infusion-Pumps, 2) Feed-Pumps, 3) Defibrillators, 4) Patient-Monitors, 5) SCD"s and 6) Centrifuges and 6) Infusion-Syringe-Pumps.I have also had introductory training on some of the less basic medical equipment such as : 1) Patient-Warmrrs, 2) Sterilizers, and 3) Patient-Ventillators.Thanks,David H.
