About David Simmons
Customer- and metric-focused IT professional who thrives on challenging issues and analyzing root causes. Account administrator for organizational applications.That's what I do. Here's who I am. After 20 years in the retail industry, I decided to follow my passion and move into the information technology world, starting with desktop support. As I quickly became the subject matter expert on daily issues, I began training new employees while cross-training my own skillset to continue growing my career. I have moved into global accounts management for one of the largest technology companies in the world. I enjoy working with my customers on the daily issues they face and hope to leave them satisfied with my support. When I see a recurring issue, I dig in and find out what the root cause is and address it directly, potentially reducing the number of issues that need to be reported. In fact, after only 6 weeks as a desktop support technician, I was able to reduce the ticket level by 60%. I'm never satisfied only answering the question the customer asks; I strive to answer the questions they don't know to ask.I work hard so I can play hard.
