He advises individuals and companies on captive insurance companies and sophisticated wealth planning, encompassing income tax, estate tax and asset protection planning, including state tax residency planning and audits. When the IRS comes knocking David handles audits, appeals and Tax Court cases, primarily involving purported tax shelters and international tax non-compliance issues. When aggressive tax planning results in civil litigation David is a highly sought after expert witness. David was Chair of the Insurance & Financial Planning Committee of the Real Property, Trust & Estate (RPTE) Section of the American Bar Association among other leadership positions within RPTE.
