Graystone Associates, Inc. - David Speaks, Senior Trainer - A Graystone Trained Funeral Director David serves as a Senior Trainer, helping funeral professionals at all levels, in providing superior customer service, which leads to greater opportunity for continued family loyalty, revenue growth, customer service, arrangement room strategies, and many more elements of better serving families. I come from a funeral-service family. In 1936, my grandparents, Roland and Beth Speaks, founded Speaks Funeral Home. I was fortunate to spend over 20 years helping to progress the legacy of my family firm. I did this as lead funeral director, location manager, trainer, recruiter, hiring manager, death certificate clerk, flower delivery boy and everything else! I also had the true honor of running our Community Relations Department for over 14 years. I love to help people! Prior to entering funeral service, I received a communication degree from Elmhurst University and have been able to put the fundamentals I learned there into practice. I believe that being a skilled communicator is critical in the family focused, service-oriented realm of funeral service. Spending so many years connecting and effectively communicating with people from all walks of life—those with blended or dysfunctional families, cultural or religious differences, financial burdens, recent tragedies, and a myriad of unique challenges—has prepared me to offer you guidance, mentorship and experience that will help you connect with and serve each family in a respectful and professional way. I can help you nurture and develop your ability to effectively communicate with families and coworkers, and help connect you with the best funeral homes in the United States! I am passionate about helping others realize their goals. That is why this business is so exciting for me. I am able to use my expertise to help funeral professionals be their best and help them find their first, next, or forever funeral home family. For more information, visit www.thefuneralguyspeaks.com
