The Luxury Vinyl category started as a smaller scale, alternative product option to Laminate Flooring. Working with both existing and new relationships, I managed and led the growth of Luxury Vinyl with my team to be a Top 5 category within the company. Growth came from vendor expansion and proper product assortment planning. This inevitably lead to higher conversion over a 24 month period, tripling revenue. With the product and supplier expansion, BuildDirect now had the largest online selection of "In Stock" Luxury Vinyl Flooring, with the widest variety of installation type on the web.

The Outdoor Living category quickly rose from being a side project to one of the Top 5 categories in many key metrics within the company. Through vendor management/sourcing, product assortment and the right placement of product in North America coupled with a team of people on both supply chain and sales side, I managed Patio Furniture from 6 digit revenue to 24x growth.

As D-SUP I managed the plumbing department. I was responsible for a team of 10 associates. Responsibilities included training with product and installation services, scheduling, performance reviews,coaching and offered superior customer service. I worked closely with my IMA to ensure our OOS were above company standard.

In this position I focused mainly in the flooring and kitchen & bath departments. I was responsible for making sure that stock was ordered appropriately and on time as to keep a 99% in stock position. During my time in this position I was able to have some of the highest stock turns in the district. This was done by making sure that on-hand counts were accurate and POs were being shipped on time. I worked closely with the Department Supervisors daily to ensure all needs for the business were met.As part of the ordering process my tasks were to analyze reports and discuss with management how products should be ordered for promos and for new products based on both metrics and industry knowledge.
