I am the father to two energetic and wonderful children, they keep me grounded and happy. Professionally, I am an experienced construction and infrastructure partner. My clients include tier one and tier two contractors, private developers and institutional investors with a focus on property and construction. In addition to my technical legal skills I excel at public speaking, business development and people management. I advise in relation to all forms of dispute resolution including international and domestic arbitration, mediation, facilitated negotiation, expert determinations, rapid adjudications and the utilization of dispute resolution boards. I have appeared in many jurisdictions including as counsel in minor contested matters. I have advised clients in relation to the onshore LNG developments in WA, Iron Ore and expansion and development projects in WA, social infrastructure (desal / hospitals) in WA and SA and retail/commercial projects throughout Australia. I also have a transactional practice specialising in documenting heavy engineering and high risk supply and installation projects. I hold undergraduate qualifications in Engineering (Civil)(Hons) and Law from the University of Melbourne. I also have a Master of Construction Laws from the University of Melbourne. I was admitted to practice in Australia in March 2006. I have published a number of articles in relation to construction law and am regularly asked to present construction law and project delivery to a variety of clients and public forums. I am an honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne where I am the coordinator for the subject Managing Legal Risk in Construction.I am a director of the Society of Construction Law and am active in the Annual Conference subcommittee. Outside the law I am involved in some community / not-for profit committees and keep fit and healthy by surfing, running, swimming and cycling.
