Brooks Institute High School Workshop - a week long Summer program, that provides High School students an in depth photographic experience. The students gain more control over their camera, software, and lighting. Daily critiques aid the students in developing their "eye." At the conclusion of the program, they receive prints of their favorite photos from the week.As an Assistant Instructor, I aid the students in developing a deeper understanding of how to control their camera, and how that effects their exposure. I also instruct them on how to control light with both simple modifiers (reflectors, diffusion panels) and studio lighting, to create more compelling imagery. My experience as a former photography student, and as a professional photographer, lends itself to the benefit of the students during the daily critiques.In addition, I work closely with the other instructors in creating the curriculum and activities for the students.
