Responsibility for developing strategic programme and finalising programme activity and budget with clients. Direct account team activity to ensure appropriate tactical programme is developed and implemented according to Applied Language Solutions quality standards and achieves and maintains objectives set out by customers. Ensure staff ownership and responsibility for projects for all members of the team. Maintain strategic overview of accounts, and proactively advise client on new issues/external environment and contribute to strategic planning meetings with client.Keep abreast of outside issues and events and regularly review impact on both internal and client objectives.Develop the strategic direction of accounts and identify new growth opportunitiesIn-depth understanding of financial status of account at all times. Ensure quality and customer focus within the account is appropriate at all times. Responsibility for account/project P&L and maintaining agreed rates for all language solutions and associated services. Responsibility for negotiating and establishing financial arrangements with clients. Business Development, Account Management, Strategic Consulting, including business plan & sales strategy development.

Responsible for enhanced disclosure screening including positions involving greater contact with children or vulnerable adults (for example: teachers, nurses, midwives, doctors, dentists, social workers, student nurses, student midwives, medical students, dental students, pharmacists, pharmacy students) and for certain additional professions (for example, judicial appointments). In general, the type of work will involve regularly caring for, supervising, training or being in sole charge of children, vulnerable people, visa and adoption cases. Enhanced checks are also issued for certain statutory purposes such as gaming and lottery licenses. This also included liaising with the various Police force across the UK and other security agencies. The Enhanced Disclosure checks involved an additional check with the police, who check if any other information is held on file that may be relevant (for instance, investigations that have not led to a criminal record). The police decided what additional information will be added to the Disclosure, and it was my role to liaise this information between each force and our systems for any enhanced checks.
