I am currently looking to acquire a local distribution/wholesale company in the lower mainland, with revenue of $3m-$10m. Ideally it has a proven track record in operations, sales, and management over the last 5-10 years. I bring sales, leadership, and marketing experience to potentially expand it into new markets. I also lend and provide expertise to new start up companies. As well, I provide part-time consulting to local retail companies wishing to improve their bottom line.

It expanded over the years to multiple locations and it developed a strong web presence in Canada. We won several retailer awards for being the best in Canada and one of the best retailers in North America. I have since sold it to pursue new business ventures but Cookworks continues to evolve.

I was involved with the purchasing of Home Accent products for the IKEA marketplace. It involved accurately selecting new products and forecasting yearly sales. I worked closely with the store Business Managers in training, merchandising, marketing and sales analysis to ensure weekly product sales were being met. This position worked closely with marketing and business development for new store openings and US operations.

Over the course of 15 years at IKEA, I was involved in many key positions in Management and Sales. I participated in many leadership and development programs specifically for Store Managers traveling around North America and Europe. I was chosen as 1 of 6 young managers to work with the President, meeting monthly across Canada to help determine the strategy for New Generations. I was part of a special Store Manager group that was given background training in the IKEA culture and the history of Furniture.
