Overall accountability for risk management strategy within the Americas Region – responsibilities included contractual risk assessment, risk pricing, business continuity, insurance procurement and claims management. Managed total risk management budget of $6M and led team of claims adjusters with responsibility for managing all US property and casualty claims. • Reduced total cost of risk associated with auto liability by $500k over two year period by reviewing auto liability risks underwritten by Company-owned captive insurance company, actuarial analysis and introduction of loss control initiatives (specifically driver recruitment and training). • Supported US road freight business in developing Independent Contractor/Owner Operator model, delivering solutions, mitigating risk exposures and maximizing profits. • Developed and implemented Region-wide business continuity plan for all operations
