• Supported a man with Autism Spectrum Disorder who engaged in aggressive and self-injurious behaviour on a 1:1 basis
• Implemented data gathering and recording practices within the high support needs group
• Addressed behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support techniques resulting in a decrease in frequency and intensity of behaviours of concern
• Increased the level of my client’s engagement with other program participants and the community where previously he had none
• Advocated with management and other Positive Behaviour Support Workers for the abolition of restrictive strategies such as locks on doors, limited community access and socially restrictive practices
