I'm an internal communication, employee engagement and change communications specialist with extensive experience in delivering change across the private and public sector. I’m currently working as a Communication and Engagement Manager at the University of Exeter, supporting a range of strategic projects.Equally happy developing strategy and with tactical delivery, I love building communication and engagement approaches that have a measurable impact on delivering business goals, and which help make organisations better places to work. Recent achievements include:- Designing and delivering change communications for a major Government real estate transformation programming affecting over 800 buildings and 75,000 employees- Developing Sodexo's 'Focus on Five' campaign, resulting in the achievement of Investors in People bronze standard in just nine months- Co-developing the company's new brand ambassador programme, a finalist in the employee engagement category of the HR Distinction Awards- Achieving significant improvements in engagement survey results and response rates at Sodexo and DWPI've worked in Corporate Communications, Organisational Development and HR roles, and have a particular interest in behavioural science and its relationship to communications, engagement and change. My strengths lie in seeing the big picture and joining up diverse strands to make a consistent narrative. I build relationships quickly and have a strong focus on developing solutions which solve real business issues. I'm comfortable with hands-on delivery and have a broad communications skill set, with a strong focus on continuously improving my writing, editing, photography, video production, and design skills. I'm accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and have taken part in their continuous professional development scheme since 2007. I write about the leadership, communications and personal effectiveness nuggets I find useful at www.movieleadership.com and www.insideedgecommunications.com.
