At Intel, I developed automated data collection and analysis solutions that lead to the reduction of time-intensive manual processes. The codebase was primarily written in Python and replaced a series of legacy software, which was creating a bottleneck in an industry workflow. This project was a collaboration between multiple Intel business units, which enabled me to work with employees that have diverse skillsets outside of my field. The success of my deliverable resulted in me being selected to present my work to business unit directors and VP leadership.

As a member of a collaborative research group between the University of Rochester Medical Center and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, I assisted in the development of software-based healthcare solutions to aid in managing medical conditions such as fetal alcohol syndrome. In this role, I did mobile application development for Android and iOS platforms. Through this position, I demonstrated knowledge of implementing fundamental data structures and algorithms, Amazon Web Services, and proper project version control using GitHub. I gained valuable experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and analyzing user feedback and closed-beta software testing results to influence future application improvements.

My previous two-year summer internship at Integrated Packaging Systems, Inc. centered around mechatronics—designing precision manufacturing equipment in CAD and developing machine vision software. My main project included developing Cognex based deep learning image analysis algorithms in C++ to automate the detection of defects in fuel injectors and genetic sequencing pipette tips. During my internship, I was introduced to programming PLC networks and implemented industrial network protocols. In contrast, I assisted in designing machine components in SolidWorks and wired control panels for custom machinery.
