During my time on the UGA Motorsports Endurance Racing team, I served as the transportation lead. As the transportation lead, I was responsible for making sure that the racecar, supplies, and team were transported to the various races in a safe and efficient manner. A highlight of my time as transportation lead was the acquisition of a permanent tow vehicle for the team. Previously, we had to rent a tow vehicle which was costly and inconvenient. Lastly, I was responsible for managing a small group of students, and keeping a detailed budget and cost report for my section of the team. Most importantly, I learned the ins and outs of how a car works, and what contributes to certain parts failing.

I designed and manufactured parts of the driver ergonomics components of UGA’s first Formula SAE car. I collaborated with team members to effectively solve problems. I also constructed parts in CAD, such as the steering wheel, driver’s seat, and ergonomics measurement device. I designed, built, and used the ergonomics measurement device to more accurately implement a more comfortable and functional driver seating position. I was also responsible to build and manage a detailed budget total for my section of the car.

As a University Transit driver, I was responsible for the safe transportation of an estimated 700 riders daily. I am knowledgeable of traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations. Before every trip, I was responsible for checking the bus tires, lights, oil, and performing other basic maintenance. I followed a total of nineteen different planned routes according to a time schedule. I also assisted disabled passengers getting on and off the bus.

Responsible for checking in customer’s bikes and diagnosing them for repairs. Tasked with complex repairs including brake, gear, and bearing adjustments, as well as part installations. Used a point of sale system to create itemized receipts and ring up customers. Sold approximately $160,000 of product during my employment. Used company van to make pick-ups and deliveries
