Having joined the IT department in 1998 as support analyst, I worked across several different teams and areas, including Y2K project team where I helped ensure that the systems that we supported across the airline were Y2k compliant. Key achievement during this period was being BA liaison with IBM on developing the Journey Baggage System (JBS) for use by Arrivals Services to which ultimately produced an annual saving estimated to be £20 million. During this time, I coded fixes and upgrades, ran user group meetings and worked to develop a relationship with senior Airport Management teams to ensure business buy-in for a variety of new baggage services. Furthermore, I also provided change consultancy on suggested changes to existing Business processes to gain most benefit from these new systems

A 3 year Avionic Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship followed by 7 years as an Aircraft Engineer across Heathrow Terminals 1 & 4, in Maintenance Engineering with responsibility for Aircraft Electrical, Avionic and Radar systems on all aircraft types within the British Airways fleet
