Taken the technical lead for the design, execution and support of the Telenet network (fix and/or mobile) in a cost-effective way in cooperation with the involved cross-divisional teams, by executing projects and taking initiatives to ensure optimized Telenet network services

Responsible for the construction, integration, configuration, maintenance, monitoring and continuous service availability of the Telenet networks, platforms and infrastructure, which together provide and ensure the Telenet services for residential, B2B and internal customers. The Engineer - Operations helps determine the design, and drives continuous improvements and cost optimizations with regard to the quality and availability of the Telenet services by developing tools and automations, among other things.

Responsibilities: - Coaching and motivating Noc engineers in their daily job; - Evaluating and introducing new monitoring applications and tools; - Handling incoming escalations for professional and residential customers; - Management and E-2-E follow up of critical network problems; - Incident Management communication towards executive team; - Being part of the regular Incident Duty Manager role; - Approve curative maintenace after working hours; - Weekly follow up and discussing greater incidents with Service Assurence Managers; - Weekly follow up of all upcoming planned maintenance; - Guarding the various business SLAs and KPIs

Multilangual (Dutch/French/English) Telecommunications Engineer. Telecom related professional experience : NOC Service Operator for professional customers, monitoring and first level problem solver for service delivery inside multiprotocol and multiservice private or public networks.Current role specific tasks:- Supporting NOC engineers in their daily monitoring job to maintain the service 24/7- Introduicing new monitoring app. (tools, alarms, etc..) correct into the Dataminer (kyline) monitoring platform. - Handling incoming escalations from Professional and residential VIP customers.- Management and end-to-end followup on critical network outages.- Incident Management communication towards executive team- Part of regular role of NOC Incident Duty ManagerSpecific technical knowlegde:- First line Transmission trouble-shooting experience of PDH, SDH, CWDM, DWDM, Ethernet, leased lines (HDLC), ISDN PRI and PRA, DSL, Frame-Relay transport layered networks and wavelength services.- First line IP trouble-shooting experience of Cisco CPE, IPVPN and XDSL technologie- Basic knowledge of DNS, Radius, Firewalling, Cisco switches, ethernet lan environments.
