OUR MISSIONZion Girls Leadership & Collegiate Preparatory Academy is committed to providing daughters of incarcerated parents with a secure, cost-effective, and exemplary training platform. We instill leadership qualities, guide them towards seamless integration into society, and foster the display of Godly characteristics by applying sound biblical principles. For seventeen years our Founder was the daughter of an incarcerated man. Her mother refused government assistance and she watched her mother work two and three jobs to keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, clothes on their backs, and she and her brother off the streets.She understands not every daughter with an incarcerated parent has a mother like hers, and she also understands the pressures of life can cause young girls to make bad decisions. That is exactly why she founded this academy. Her original plan was for an after-school program, but the demands are greater than just after school. And far too many girls, specifically girls 12-19 (many aging out of the foster care system) are falling between the cracks. Over the years, she has meet young ladies every day who have little basic life skills, low self-esteem, and no plans for their future. Zion Girls is here to help be the change they’re desperately looking for.
