Construction Environmental Coordinator
Assisting and supporting Construction Services to ensure environmental compliance for American Electric Power. Worked at several different power plants overseeing 11 construction projects and outages including the first of it's kind in the US, a Flue Gas Desulphurization retrofit. Worked included daily oversight and monthly site assesments at power plant construction projects and landfills. Projects and Outages include, Leacheate Collection, Dam Raising, FGD, Arc Flash, Auxilliary Boiler, Absorber Coating, JBR, Carbon Capture, Selenium Reduction, Coal Pipe Secondary Reheat, Dry Fly Ash Conversion. Work included training employees and contractors in SPCC, SWP3, Universal Waste & Hazardous Waste Management, Wetland Awareness. Worked daily with lead coordinators and team to install and maintain Erosion and Sediment Controls. Coordinated with contractors, employees and outside companies to support AEP with their environmental compliance. Duties often included attending and leading meetings and training.
