As ED social worker I am responsible for conducting assessment of needs for all patients who present with social issues. Those issues addressed include: mental health, chemical dependency, child and elder abuse, homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault among others. Assessments result in my making clinical decisions about treatment, resource coordination and disposition. This process includes working closely with medical staff as well as outside agencies to provide "wrap around" care for patients in need.

Conducting chemical dependency assessments to determine level of treatment for client. Running dialectical behavioral therapy groups, mindfulness meditation groups, individual and family counseling.
