Working closely with the fundraising department, I had responsibility for the planning, preparation and delivery of all fundraising materials. As a marketing team, I also worked on new and current marketing campaigns - ensuring they are within our key messaging and appeal to our audience. I also ran Beatson Cancer Charity's Social Media sites - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

My role includes recruiting new corporate partners and raising the awareness of Beatson Cancer Charity in the business community, along with managing our existing corporate supporters to ensure they are getting the maximum out of the partnership with the charity.

I manage people in the community who wish to raise money for Epilepsy Scotland by providing help and guidance with their fundraising events and idea. I also regularly speak with members of the public who have been affected by epilepsy in any way. It is also my responsibility to plan, organise and promote my own fundraising events in order to raise money for the charity.

Working in the complaints department, I investigated and helped to resolve all customer complaints within their 15 working day time limit. As a Senior Officer I handled complaints coming directly from MP's and answered on behalf of various Heads of Department within the Student Loans Company. I also prepared reports for complaints which had been escalated for Independent Review and assisted my line manager with any responsibilities delegated to me.

Answered all customer complaints and queries on behalf of the Chief Executive and Senior Management both via telephone and in written communication. Liaised with various members of the business daily to ensure smooth running of the Executive Office and worked closely with the Social Media team to ensure any queries for the Chief Executive which came through Social Media were handled appropriately.

Responding to the needs and requests of the public and investigating a variety of incidents including violence, disorder, road traffic accidents, and matters of a highly sensitive nature. I was also responsible for arresting/detaining/reporting any offenders and submitting complex reports to the Procurator Fiscal within strict time constraints and attending and presenting evidence in court.I worked in a challenging environment often dealing with violent individuals while their judgement was impaired through drink or drugs. It was my duty to bring these situations under control using my communication skills often in surroundings such as licensed premises and football stadiums where the incident had potential to escalate. It was important to be non-judgemental and deal with every situation in its own merit at all times.
