I've spent over 18 years in the cruise industry, both with direct cruise lines and with travel agencies and have been lucky enough to experience multiple positions in some. Working one-on-one with guests to rectify problems and concerns can, at times be frustrating but greatly satisfying when you know you've offered acceptable solutions that keep them on as loyal clients. Being a part of an operations department, knowing you are contributing to the professional success of others by offering training and advice to Support Teams has given me personal growth as well. Whether I'm working side by side with my coworkers and managers or virtually from across the country and even the world, being an integral part of a company is what is of value.
