As a Learning & Organizational Development Manger I will be serving as a key leader to develop employees across all functions of the business through inclusive, impactful, and scalable learning experiences and programming. I will lead the company’s Talent Development strategy to onboard, develop and retain talent, and enhance human performance. I will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the strategy, approach, standards, and policies related to talent processes including, succession planning, talent review and planning, assessment, development, leadership competency and talent mobility.

I am the person you employ when you want to experience greater joy! I specialize in empowering leaders to banish burnout and breakthrough to sustained success. I speak to thousands of individuals a year through conferences, association meetings, training events and retreats. I also coach leaders to live their empowering and audacious purpose so that they can experience greater health and harmony, higher levels of contribution and freedom and increased resiliency when adversity happens. I have coached over 200 leaders to elevate their teams and businesses through culture creation, strategic planning, team engagement, change management, etc. I wrote a book titled "Joy Notes: 90 Days of Delight." I have produced min-training videos for organizations like the International Spa Association. I have appeared on the North Dakota Today show over fifteen times to share inspirational content with viewers in the Red River Valley and beyond.

In this role I design, develop, deliver and evaluate innovative learning and talent development solutions. I am responsible for executing on a variety of HR and L&D initiatives to support and develop staff globally and execute on strategic priorities including onboarding, supervisor training, DEI, career pathing and leadership development.

Africa New Life Ministries transforms lives and communities in Rwanda, Africa. As the Partnership Specialist, I got to network with individuals and business professionals who wanted to discover how to become champions in a global ministry and become generous givers. Over two years, I helped raise over $100,000 funds for ANL's programs, advocated for students to get sponsored, led vision trips to Rwanda and chaired the team who facilitated a leader lunch and learn for over 200 community leaders on the topic of reconciliation and justice. I co-led the implementation of the Customer Relations Management (CRM) system, which included identifying pipelines and contact information and facilitating team training for all team members. I created a training and guide for our team members on how to make asks from donors during our annual update season. I co-created the Dream Ambassador Program which equips and empowers people to become advocates for student sponsorship.

I facilitated two bachelor’s degree courses (HR Development and HR Management) at the University of Mary for students.

I developed and delivered over 30 different keynotes, workshops, and webinars around a variety of leadership development, positive psychology, performance management, time management, talent management, customer engagement, workplace culture, diversity and inclusion and employee engagement topics. I presented on average 125 times per year for different conferences and events like the Women’s Business Summit, ISPA Conference, several state SHRM Chapter conferences, Regional ATD Conferences, etc. I facilitated strategic planning sessions as an external consultant for organizations to identify their vision, mission, values and goals. I coached over 100 managers, directors and executives on employee relations and engagement issues. I wrote several blog posts and newspaper articles on various talent management and leadership topics. I co-wrote a career transition workbook and created a workshop for leaders transitioning into new roles. I implemented a Learning Management System that helped track the trainings for hundreds of organizations. I utilized Camtasia to create online learning courses for companies. I created train-the-trainer programs for equipping team members to be excellent learning and development professionals. I utilized SalesForce as a CRM system to track clients and appointments. I partnered with organizations to conduct Human Resource consulting services such as visioning, culture/values creation, job description creation or updates, work flow analysis and policy/handbook review. I also coached individuals in such areas as work life integration, time management, strength development and communications. I created and implemented effective methods to evaluate and assess services, trainings and projects.

I created, coordinated and facilitated the company wide leadership program called Emerging Leadership Program that was developed to shape the next generation of leaders. We successfully were able to place 100% of the participants in leadership roles. The program was also adopted by the parent company Blue Cross/Blue Shield of ND. I assisted in planning and carrying out the leadership retreat for all the leaders of company and I facilitated a session on performance management. I lead the HR Business Partner project that focused on changing the entire HR team from a transactional department to a strategic partner with our team leaders. I developed and facilitated training sessions on customer service, teambuilding, interviewing skills, hiring/talent management, communications and harassment. I partnered with an external vendor to align our Executive Leadership Program and the Emerging Leadership Program. I co-planned the annual Executive and Management offsite focused on strategy, leadership development, and talent management for 250 leaders.

I conducted the initial onboarding and orientation for all new employees. I administered employee benefits and tracked the family medical leave requests. I facilitated customer service training for the county and also for the City of Moorhead. I assisted with the labor relations discussions for the Sherriff's department. I conducted investigations on employee relations issues. I assisted in the hiring process for various teams. I worked on creating a performance management system that leaders could access online in order to have up-to-date access on their employees.

I developed an onboarding program for all new hires. I created talent profiles for over 156 positions working with all levels of leadership including our CEO, COO and CFO. I implemented a new performance management process that helped the organization provide timely and effective feedback. I facilitated various management training sessions and coordinated lunch and learns for employees. I assisted with open enrollment and maintained employee personnel files. I created a succession planning tool to help leaders identify the leadership pipeline. I lead the strategic planning process for our HR team to create our goals and values. I assisted the hiring managers in the talent management process from recruitment to interviewing to final hiring decisions. I conducted investigations on various employee relations issues. I coached individuals on how to improve their performance and I coached leaders on how to lead effective teams. I wrote articles for our internal communications newsletter. I assisted in the layoffs and terminations of various teams and individuals. I conducted needs assessments for employees to identify gaps in skills and talents. I co-created a career ladder for our engineering team from entry level to leadership level.
