I am a dedicated sustainability professional seeking to leverage extensive background in information technology and work with an organization that strives to make a human and environmental difference and fosters my professional and personal growth. Prior to my internship with LES, I worked as the Unit Coordinator for the Youth Recovery Center at Valley View Hospital for five years. Concurrently, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability Studies. As an advocate for at-risk adolescents and as a sustainability professional, I apply knowledge, skills and resourcefulness to benefit people both locally and globally as well as our ecosystem. I incorporate my background in information technology daily by troubleshooting, improving systems, and maximizing efficiency. By correlating the facilitation of youth in their recovery process with my participation in the sustainability movement, I have cultivated a professional trajectory eager to participate in social and environmental system improvement. I am uniquely competent in addressing a broad range of subjects including facilitating outreach events, generating and updating forms and marketing materials, utilizing technology based media and applications and improving the efficiency of daily operations. I have volunteered for local hands-on environmental restoration activities and promoted educational events. I am able to anticipate the information people will need to do their jobs, as well as prioritize tasks and allocate time and resources accordingly. I have an analytical mind with great problem solving skills; these attributes are aligned with being self-motivated and accountable. I am driven to work independently, yet also thrive within collaborative teams.
