Programme Manager on the UK’s flagship international climate and clean energy technical assistance programme - the UK PACT Green Recovery Challenge Fund.I managed our portfolio of Nature Based Solutions projects in Latin America and Sub Saharan Africa, managing our delivery partner project team, coordinating with embassies and implementing partners and reporting/presenting updates to my wider team. I also led on external-facing comms for the GRCF team.I managed BEIS’ partnership with the Ashden Awards, managing the relationships with the Ashden team and overseeing the projects’ progress. I coordinated from BEIS’ side with embassies and COP teams across Whitehall to push for the Awards Ceremony to be held at COP26 in Glasgow with the President of Costa Rica giving the keynote speech, resulting in a hugely successful event.

Wrote ministerial briefings, amendment notes, Q&A packs, and tracked debates in Parliament.Coordinated with colleagues within DHSC, across Whitehall and with Embassies internationally to track bilateral negotiations progress and country intelligence to inform new policies.As Correspondence Manager for the team I wrote and coordinated responses to ministerial questions from the public, working to tight deadlines.

Carried out a freelance research project for Hannibal Rhoades at ‘Yes to Life No to Mining’: researched and wrote a trilogy of articles on ‘The UK: Mining, Brexit and the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ to be published in the Ecologist in 2019.

Worked directly with the Director of International Programmes, engaging and following-up with Deki’s Field Partners in Africa.My main role was to complete research into different microfinance organisations, their programmes and impact to ensure that they are the right candidate for Deki, then checking against a number of criteria before inviting the organisation for our two stage application process. I also co-produced reports on Field Partner activities, supported in monitoring and evaluation, produced stats and metrics and supported the team with administrative tasks.
