Kontrast is a collective that explores & appreciate the dynamic interplay between two extremes, such as Darkness and light.Both elements exist as interdependent opposites, each providing depth and nuance to the other. They are only meaningful in relationship, without one, the other wouldn’t exist, just like the Yin and Yang.Kontrast invites viewers to contemplate this profound relationship, challenging us to see beyond the obvious and appreciate the interplay that shapes our perceptions and experiences.

Shebeen is an ambitious project founded by a diverse bunch of creatives with a deep love for music, art, lighting and create good experiences which cater to a range of people from cultures all over the world.A term with its genesis in Ireland, 'shebeen' (Irish: síbín) was originally an illicit bar or club where exercisable alcoholic beverages were sold without a licence. Most of these establishments were run by women known as shebeen queens who were responsible for brewing the liquor which was sold at these establishments, a testament to the powerful role women play in society. The term shebeen spread through South America, Europe and Africa and in certain African countries, was seen as a place the oppressed could come together, drink, listen to music and express themselves culturally. The importance of shebeens in unifying communities and providing a safe place for discussion was integral in times of oppression.As a concept, we felt the term Shebeen encompassed everything we as founders were looking for in events, which includes openness, togetherness, a place to meet new people which is culturally diverse, without borders catering for a diverse pallet of sensory pleasures. We essentially want to provide a platform for people to express their true selves, in whichever shape or form this may take. This brought us together from Malta, South Africa and India to form our Shebeen. 🦒

What started as a simple passion project years ago, has become synonymous with high-quality, authentic music experiences that are designed to connect people and create a sense or community around Udaipur. Amit & Daksh wanted to create something truly special, something that would leave a lasting impression on those who attended their events. This urge to create the best production, line-up, and overall experience led to the birth of Here & Now.
