From conflict zones, to topics of environment, politics, society, and religion, Dr. David Bathgate views and photographs the world through the eyes of an anthropologist, and has done so for over 20 years. Trained both in the social sciences and journalism, David’s work appears regularly in print and on the internet pages of publications such as, Time, The New York Times, New York Daily News, The Atlantic, Geo, Stern, The Guardian, TheTimes of London, Smithsonian Magazine, Le Figaro, El Pais, Huffington Post, and Condé Nast Traveller, The Irish Times, and Science, to mention only a few. His work takes him regularly to Asia, Africa, the Middle East and European destinations.Founder, Director and Instructor of the premier online and interactive school of photography and visual storytelling, The Compelling Image, David has also conducted on-location photography, photojournalism and documentary workshops in Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Kurdistan, Morocco, and for the U.S. Army in Landstuhl, Germany.  He is an official Fuji X Ambassador and contributor at Getty Images and Redux Pictures.
