David B. Daniel is an award-winning teacher with over 25 years of classroom experience and a highly sought international speaker and scholar. His efforts are focused on translating psychological science to developing testable useable knowledge for teaching and learning, including extensive experience in the ed-tech sector with respect to the use of learning principles and user design. David works closely with teachers//schools/districts, developers, and others who are designing efforts to truly impact high quality teaching and learning.David has been recognized as one of the top 1% of educational researchers influencing public debate and has been honored numerous times for his teaching and translational efforts, including the Transforming Education through Neuroscience Award and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology’s Teaching Excellence Award. His dedication to facilitating student learning extends from higher education contexts to the K-12 classroom, to organizational contexts, and include consulting with publishers, education-oriented companies, corporations and non-profit foundations on the development of high-impact learning strategies and designs.David's focus is the integration of the science of learning, usability, and user-impact designs to educational efforts. David's work has traditionally pushed the boundaries of psychological science and education research to account for the complexity of the authentic teaching and learning contexts, and to limit reckless claims for practice that do not do so.
