Flex Force is a R&D company in the military sector, specializing in the design and production of offensive and defensive technologies. Their two primary products include the Dronebuster, a handheld RF counter UAV (drone) jammer, and the ASP, a gyroscopically stabilized weapons mount system optimized for land and marine operations. I work as a full time, in-house mechanical design engineering contractor. My main focus is leading the design for the next generation Dronebuster, managing and updating all mechanical elements of the last generation Dronebuster, and redesigning the grips and M2HB trigger mechanism on the ASP. I collaborate often with our RF engineer and circuit board designer to design RF shielding, run stackup analysis, optimize heat dispersion, prevent unintentional RF interference, and ensure reliable manufacturability. Other tasks include component selection, vendor and manufacturer liaison, production and prototype assembly, product testing, creating dimensional documentation, promotional renderings, and assembly instructions.
