Designed and implemented VoIP across North America using a combination of Cisco VoIP-enabled routers and modules and Nortel’s IP trunk modules to provide PBX to WAN connectivity solutions. Develop and implemented a comprehensive voice over WAN/LAN infrastructure using Nortel VoIP PBX to connect LSI’s legacy PBX via virtual trunks, which further enhanced Global 5 digit Dialing Services.Configured and installed LSI’S MPLS (Multi-protocol Label Switching) Global WAN, which served as the backbone for LSI’s data and voice communications world wide. Utilizing BGP and OSPF as the primary protocols that provided a meshed, robust, and resilient global network. Implemented and maintained this valuable web-based tool which provided a standardized view for WAN, VPN, and Dial up network topology. Incorporated information from MRTG network monitoring tool, which provided the user community and executive staff with an easy to use centralized tool.

Supported FORE System’s LAN-switching products and provided third-tier network support.Resolved critical networking issues that involved other vendor’s hardware. Increased network performance by analyzing the topology of routers in multiple buildings and recommended changes where necessary. Provided technical support in the reconfiguration of the PowerHub campus network. Tested PowerHub interoperability with Cisco routers, reported bugs to FORE’s Technical Assistance Center and Customer Response Team.Customer Engineer between FORE Systems and LSI Logic, dramatically improving customer relationship and sales.

Managed all network design and platform integration throughout the nine building campus. Primary administration, installation, and hardware maintenance for multiple Novell, NT, Apple file servers. Engineered internal copper and fiber optics infrastructure in all buildings throughout campus. Set corporate standards for Novell server environments, including hardware, operating systems, and user interfaces.Designed and implemented a FDDI and switched Ethernet corporate standard for upgrading existing and new buildings, a project which positioned corporate infrastructure for ATM/Secure Fast Packet Switching; documented the design and implementation of the corporate LAN infrastructure.
