The purpose of the article was to illustrate the new reality of the region after Sweden and Finland had joined the Atlantic Alliance. As a coordinator and instructor, I educated in rhetoric, oratory, body language, and public speech to groups of 10 - 40 students. The main debate models that I taught were two:1. Academic debate. The speaker defends and contrasts an idea against an opponent. It focuses on how an argument should be constructed, evidenced, and related to the topic being discussed. It is a formal-styled debate. Pertinent body language is required.2. Model United Nations. The speaker represents an UN member state to discuss a determined international affair. The negotiations and debates take place under the framework and norms of a certain United Nations organ (e.g. UN Security Council). The debate ends after a group of states has been able to write and pass a resolution, which implements solutions to the topic in question.My tasks consited as well of budget planning, collaborating with professional speakers, and submitting reports to the «Service of Culture and Complementary Education».
