Supported a collaboration of over 200 state and local governments in developing strategies to reduce the environmental impact of materials from resource extraction, manufacturing, retail, use, and disposal. Project work included developing a policy analysis about product stewardship, developing a community food waste reduction pilot using community-based social marketing, and facilitating, coordinating, and documenting both monthly and annual stakeholder meetings.

Received a $12,000 grant to increase composting use in University of Washington cafeterias by using community-based social marketing. Project work included conducting behavioral observations, interviewing students and staff to identify motivations and barriers to composting, testing messaging and infrastructure improvements, designing a communications strategy to promote the use of composting, and providing a recommendations report on how to improve management practices.
