My role is to plan, evaluate and execute those goals, with the assistance of a very able and knowledgeable team. We develop and implement solutions for all product lines.

As Senior Manager of the Data Integrity Unit, I was responsible for three teams: The Data Extraction Team, the Data Delivery Team and the Automation Team. Data Extraction involved the acquiring and distribution of over 10,000 data feeds each month, using media such as SFTP, Secure Email, VPN's and other methods to acquire, decrypt, transform, deliver and securely store these files for use at our organization. The Data Delivery Team oversees the actual transformations and certifies the files for use once they have been transformed and loaded. This team was also involved in examining all the feeds for relative data health, storing and securing data and reporting data health anomalies to other consumers of the data in the organization. Data Delivery also performed ad hoc investigations when other parts of the organization suspected data errors or inconsistencies. The Automation Team developed and implemented solutions for automating the collection, transformation, analysis and disposition of data within our organization and quarantining data that failed to meet minimum quality guidelines.

As ISO, I was responsible for the development, selection and implementation of all technology solutions and data management within the Police Department. I was also in charge of training officers and civilians in the use of our technologies. I worked as a Computer Forensics examiner with our High-Tech Crimes Unit and the FBI as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. In addition to my duties as the organization’s Information Systems officer, I had also worked as a police officer, an accident investigator, and an IT consultant to local businesses and schools. My rank at retirement was Corporal. I retired my position on May 28, 2015.

Working as the managing partner of a small software development company (9 employees), I also served as the primary technical resource. I designed and developed custom Visual Basic, SQL Server, and Web-based applications for multi-site clients. I provided database design and programming interface specifications, electronic data interchange (EDI) specs, deployment plans and training programs for our clients. I managed the entire development process for software implementation and integration projects with emphasis in regulatory compliance, mentoring and leading my own developers as well as IT professionals from client companies.Some of my projects included the design and development lead for SQL-based VB program for EPA/AQMD regulatory inspection compliance for oil refineries and chemical factories (Fugitive Emissions Program) and the implementation of an Internet-based reporting system for a national Mystery Shopping company

HNC Insurance Solutions was a software company specializing in reviewing and re-pricing Worker's Compensation bills based on each state's regulations, looking for both unintentional mistakes and intentional fraud. I managed the Application Maintenance, EDI, Distribution and Tech Support departments. I managed the Systems Administration group for 6 months. I designed, developed, and deployed peripheral systems for managing Complex Bill Review and Nurse Review systems. I provided technical sales support for large contract negotiations. I managed the three service centers, processing over 50,000 Workmen’s compensation bills per month. I managed a $30 million budget.

BPI was the primary civil engineering firm used by Wal-Mart and HEB Super Stores, managed most of the McDonalds civil engineering projects in the South and had many other local clients. I built their web site and converted their internal network from Novell 3.11 to NT 4.0. I built an Intranet for project management and integrated accounting software to provide detailed reporting for each of their four US office locations. I developed the disaster recovery / business continuity plan for the protection of the digital assets of the organization.

Classic Soft Trim is an Automotive Aftermarket company focused on the manufacturing and sales of custom leather interiors for new automobiles. I worked initially as the Controller and managed all IT functions. I designed and developed (or selected) and implemented all custom and off-the-shelf software for manufacturing, distribution, sales and accounting for several companies owned by the Dwight Forrister family. Most of these companies were also involved in the Automotive Aftermarket.
