Business Analyst for a Financial Services client of Equal Experts - Hargreaves Lansdown (HL).This role was for a project to create a new AWS Cloud based data warehouse to migrate analytical data away from an on-premise SQL Server based data warehouse, and to use this new data warehouse to provide Power BI dashboards of Operational performance data to Hargreaves Lansdown's Chief Operating Office (COO) senior management team.Hybrid team of HL (Product Owner and 2 Data Analysts) and Equal Expert contractors (Delivery Lead, Platform engineer, 3 Data Engineers, BA and User Researcher).Working in an Agile framework, using Scrum / Sprints. With Jira, Confluence and Miro.The project was cut short after 3 months due to a change of CEO at HL, and a change of focus and cut of existing budgets. However, as a team we did complete the MVP / Thin slice to ingest HLs help desk call handling data from two systems (current and historic), perform transformations on that data into a new AWS project to provide data metrics for a Power BI dashboard. The build pipeline infrastucture was completed for Dev, Staging and Prduction(test). The Dev environment was populated with synthetic data, but the Production(test) environment had access to copies of live data... and metrics from this production data was demonstrated at our final showcase before wrapping up the project. Alongside the data engineering work, we also had remote workshops with the Senior Leadership stakeholders to get a better understanding of their needs using 'Affinity Maps' as a guiding tool.
