When the owners of Murphy's Pub and Grill opened KOL, their second concept restaurant in Rapid City, they decided to transfer me over to KOL to assist in training their new servers and bartenders. At KOL I worked as a bartender and server trainer and eventually floor manager. KOL Is a Mediterranean concept restaurant which features a coal fired oven at the heart of an exhibition style kitchen. Coupled with the outstanding cuisine, the bar is geared towards high end craft cocktails and top shelf liquors.

I began as a server and quickly moved into bartending as well. As a server, I eventually became a server trainer and wrote the server training manual. My bartending time was spent creating craft cocktails and helping as a volume bartender on the weekends. Murphy's Pub and Grill is an American style Gastro-Pub which adds a unique flair to traditional pub food. The cuisine at Murphy's is created by the Classically French Trained Chef Blake Itterman.

I worked in the specials group designing valves for applications which could not be met through Fisher's product catalog. My product line was the EU/EW valves, which are 12"-24" inlet outlet sliding stem globe style valves. My daily responsibilities included making revisions to drawings, working with the Materials Engineering group to determine chemical compatibility, and referencing the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code to determine safe pressure ratings for the valves. During my time at Fisher I performed a competitive analysis of a leading competitors valve, Submitted three patent disclosures, two of which became in-house trade secrets and one which was filed for a patent, and even assisted in the training of my mentors replacement.
