My background is a little different.....My first love is music! Growing up I played bass guitar for a couple of great cover bands in SE MN. With my my love of music I started my first career in broadcasting back in 1988 in Phoenix Arizona at the Ron Bailie School of Broadcast. After graduating, I had the opportunity to work as Production Director and Voice Over Talent for some great broadcasting companies in Nebraska, Kansas and Minnesota. I later became involved part-time with the Dodge County Sheriff's Posse in 1996, interested in helping the county on horseback at events and parades. My interest quickly changed when I started doing the required ride-alongs with patrol deputies. At that point I was hooked and knew this was a second career I wanted to pursue! I got hired as a part-time officer for the Kasson Police Dept, eventually going back to college in Rochester to earn my law enforcement degree and pursue it full-time. My father, Robert (Bob) Rose was involved in law enforcement for over 30 years in our county - starting with Kasson PD and retiring with Dodge County. I will do the same finishing out my career serving Dodge County - as my father did. In NOV of 2014 I had the honor of being elected as Dodge County's 26th Sheriff - a position I still hold today. In 2006 I decided to get back into the voice-over business part-time with a new home studio. I've since had the opportunity to work on hundreds of projects for dozens of new and old clients in the US, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, and South Africa. I've recently been working on online educational voice-over for leadership training for law enforcement. With my children all grown up, I also dusted off the bass and got back into the music scene again getting involved with a few great Minnesota bands over the years.Life is good!

Host/ProducerOfficer Down Memorial Podcast Nov 2020 - PresentMinnesota, United StatesIn each episode of the Officer Down Memorial Podcast, I share the stories of how these men and women heroically lost their lives in the Line of Duty. These podcasts are produced in a story telling format sharing these officer's stories based on input from the men and women who served with them, and the families who were left behind. Older stories are written using historical documents and newspaper records. The goal of this program is to honor these fallen heroes, help us remember their service, remind us we must always support the families they left behind, and to never forget their sacrifice. (WARNING: Some of these stories contain strong language and violent adult content, which may be upsetting to some listeners. Listener discretion is advised.) @Hurrdat Media
