Boasting 800+ students, I led on delivering LIVE and pre-recorded webinars to students on Northumbria’s primary access scheme, “NU Entry”. I was also responsible for monitoring student engagement and attendance. As part of the university’s work supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds such as care-experienced and LGBTQ+, the scheme was nominated for “Best Widening Participation Initiative” at the 2023 HEIST Awards. I also had a key role in hosting schools on-campus. From anything between Year 5-Year 13 and 10-150 students, each event required detailed logistical planning to create the highest quality experience. -

I lead on the scheme's engagement with 650+ students, parents / caregivers, and teachers. I am responsible for organising student-facing events that enable them to connect with each other before they arrive to study at Northumbria; 96% of students at our Feb ’24 event strongly agreed that the event made them feel more confident about attending Northumbria. I have implemented a positive change in our strategy by giving students more access and developing closer relationships. I lead on the organisation of our subject specific on-campus events such as academic taster days. This involves regular engagement with various school and university stakeholders. I have implemented positive changes this year around making all events more industry focused, insightful and interactive. This has positively impacted student conversion. I maintain some of Northumbria’s key internal and external relationships such as IntoUniversity and NERAP by supporting them with their own event logistics. I also line-manage 2 team members. I deploy weekly 121s where we speak about how they can explore and develop during their time with us. I regularly lead small teams on projects around creating and re-designing outreach sessions, which are delivered to a high standard. -
